Psalm 4

Answer when I call to you,
O my righteous God.
Give me relief from my distress;
be merciful to me and hear my prayer.

The LORD has set me apart for himself;
the LORD will hear when I call to him.

In my anger I will not sin;
when I am on my bed,
I search my heart and am silent.

I offer the sacrifice of my broken heart
and trust in the LORD.

Let the light of your face shine upon me, O LORD.
You have filled my heart with greater joy
than when grain and new wine abound.

I will lie down and sleep in peace,
for you alone, O LORD,
cause me dwell in safety.
